Dance A-level
Unit 7 A2
Unit 7 is the culmination of the A level programme and is assessed by an external moderator. Students have had the experience of a number of performances and will have completed a year and a half of dance training. They are now ready to learn professional repertory. Students will learn movement material from an existing piece of dance and will work with the group to develop this in to a fully realised performance. Past year groups have performed work based on Lea Anderson’s Cross Channel, Carolyn Carlson’s Signes and Alvin Ailey’s Revelations.
How am I marked? This is the final performance of the course and most of the marks are for the performance. There are some marks for the choreographic log which details the process but this is a chance for the dance student to showcase all they have learnt over the past two years.
