Admissions policy and applications
How to apply to the Sixth Form

We hold open events in the autumn term when students and parents can meet staff and current students and see our facilities. Our prospectus is available at the open events or on request. It contains an application booklet and other useful information about us.

Our admissions policy gives priority to students from our four partner schools in Hammersmith and Fulham (Fulham Cross, Henry Compton, Hurlingham & Chelsea, and Phoenix High School) providing we receive applications by the end of January. All students are invited to interview and enrolment in date order of application. As we receive a large number of applications, it is advisable to apply as early as possible (i.e. before February half-term). Students who apply later may well gain a place, but possibly not on their first choice of course. Students are treated as individuals and given extensive guidance on suitable courses.

All applicants are invited to interview. The purpose of the interview is to start
the guidance process to help students make the best possible choice of course. We do not pressurise applicants into making early decisions about subjects, but encourage them to explore and think about the many exciting options.

Students who accept places at William Morris Sixth Form must attend one of our course guidance days at the end of June or early July. This day provides you with an opportunity to meet our teaching staff and to collect further information about subjects and courses and our way of working.

Final decisions about your course choice are made at enrolment in the first week of September, once GCSE results have been published. As offers are conditional on GCSE and BTEC grades, it is not possible to finalise course choice before this date. If students have not met the conditions of their offer, we always try to offer an alternative course.
