Extended Project Qualification
IntroductionThe Extended Project Qualification is a wonderful new opportunity for students.
They can create a project based on a passionate interest of their own choosing, or it can be a deeper investigation of an aspect of one of their A Level subjects.
It might be a long written study, a performance, a film or an artefact plus a commentary, but each one is unique.
Students keep a log book of the process and make a presentation to a non-specialist audience
The project is assessed at A2 Level and carries UCAS points up to A*
Students in the pilot sample last year said it felt great to be able to choose what to do, and to be recognised and rewarded for their work in managing the whole research process, not just the outcome.
